Lori Eidson-Riggles, A Montgomery Catholic teacher, and mother of three was returning home from a run on Sunday afternoon when a truck hit her 300 yards from her house near Rammer. She suffered head trauma, an arm injury, broken vertebrae and fractures to her pelvis.
Riggles, who teaches sixth grade at Montgomery Catholic, Holy Spirit campus, was in the beginning stages of training for the Nov. 6 New York City Marathon. On Sunday, she was close to returning home to her husband, Ron Riggles, and their three children – a seventh grader, ninth grader, and one child who was home visiting from Auburn University.
Lori remains intubated in Baptist South in Montgomery and her family is praying for her life and struggling with medical expenses. Our Agency is on a mission to raise funds for Lori and aid her occupational therapy and physical therapy.
